The Canonica: This is the oldest building of the Borgo (11th century), in front of the San Lorenzo Church. During the most interesting period of the Borgo's history three friars lived there. On the Northeast corner there is the base of an ancient tower that is also depicted in the painting (dated 1500), which represents the battle between Florentines and Sienese happened here in 1479. In proximity of the "Canonica", there are some common spaces, type firewood oven for pizza, terrace panning prepared with barbecue and garden furniture.
The "Ginestra" House: Situated at the grand level, it has a wonderful view of the valley of the river Elsa and the Castle Rocchetta.
The "Albicocco" House: Situated at grand level, it also has a wonderful view of the valley, the Castle Rocchetta and the big clear blue swimming pool.
The "Granaio": It's an old building situated on the right of the Rose's House courtyard. In the past it was used to dry the wheat. In this rustic building, now there are 2 apartments: "Granaio" and "Girasole" and an Enoteca-bar (cavern) where good local Tuscan wines can be tasted.
The "Rose" Villa: This is an ancient villa (around 1000), next to the Church of S. Lorenzo. The building is on two floors, with the Restaurant "Casa Bandini" on the ground floor. This is the biggest building of the Borgo, and has a panoramic view of the surrounding areas, from the threshing floor to the Elsa valley, from the Rocchetta Castle to Montagnola.
